Longest Tomato Lunch

The Royal Botanic Garden’s annual Tomato Festival is back in February 2020!

To celebrate, join us for the ever popular Longest Tomato Lunch on the Garden’s foreshore lawn.
Take a seat at our 70 meter table overlooking the Harbour and enjoy a tomato inspired Italian shared feast designed by the 2 Michelin Stars and multi-award winning chef Luca Ciano.

Longest Tomato Lunch Menu

Heirloom tomato focaccia with rosemary garlic & balsamic reduction extra virgin olive oil, Pepe Saya butter
Thinly sliced 24 months old Prosciutto di Parma, sun dried tomato grissini
30+ months old Parmigiano Reggiano, 12 years old ‘Tradizionale’ balsamic vinegar

Chilled fresh tomato & basil soup, Vannella Cheese buffalo mozzarella foam, 24 months old Parmigiano Reggiano crostini
Confit cherry tomato bruschetta, spicy n’duja, caramelized figs, Vannella Cheese Persian feta, white balsamic & fig dressing
Grilled eggplant, roasted oxharts tomatoes, Vannella Cheese scamorza affumicata , origano & chilli pangrattato

Warmed pasta salad of handmade conchiglie with tomato & caramelized onion sauce, Vannella Cheese stracciatella, dried black olives, parsley dust

Mini tomato gelato cones
Green tomato infused buttermilk panna cotta, wattleseed sponge, tomato basil chilli jam
